All the bold ones are the ones that I reviewed in April. I only reviewed 2, which sucks butt. But, hopefully in May I will start reviewing a lot more!

Rating System

I have a rating system of 1-10, 10 being the best and 1 being the worst. Now, I've had a little confusion in the past (not so much recently, but just in the past) about the rating and the review. So I decided that I would do a post and break down each rating.

Also, I was looking back at all my posts and I haven't done anything real personal in a long time. Like pretty much everything is just reviews and memes (Whoa!) Now I do love posting about both those things, but I think I need to start doing posts about other stuff, too, don't you think? So I decided I'm going to try to do something else( I'm not sure what exactly, just whatever I feel like posting about) at least every couple weeks. Now, I sometimes get lazy, or I don't know what exactly I want to post about, so I'm not sure how well this will work out. But I'll try, I swear ;-)

So, Anyway, back to the rating system.
I'll start from the top.
10/10- This is the best any book can get from me. I have a shelf right above my bed where I keep all my favorite books. I keep them there so that I can have them on hand if I ever want to read from one of these. If I give a book a 10, you better believe that that book is going up there. So, of course I hardly ever get a new one of these. If I don't get a book a perfect score, It's not because I didn't absolutely love it. It's just because it wasn't one of my all time favorites.

9/10- This is where I place all the books that I loved and didn't find anything wrong with, but I don't consider them my favorites. This is still a pretty amazing rating that you can get from me.

8/10- If I place a book here, it is because I still really like it, I just didn't love it. Most of the time, I'll say in my review what made me not love the book, but sometimes I won't. If I don't say exactly why I didn't like it enough to give it a 9/10, it's probably because I don't know myself. that happens sometimes. There will be a book that I like but don't love, and yet I can't exactly put my finger on why I didn't love. I still consider this a high rating from me.

7/10- the book was okay. I enjoyed it, but definitely had some beef with it. If I give it a 7, it's not like with and 8, where at times I may not know what I didn't like about it. I'll tell you exactly why I thought it was just okay.

6/10- Now this is getting pretty low. It means that I really did not enjoy this book. There may be a part or two that I did enjoy, but mostly I just didn't like it.

5/10- I think that this is the lowest rating I've ever given. I can't remember what exactly for, but I do remember that I have given it out. This means I totally did not like the book. I probably won't give this out too often, because if there is a book that I don't like this much, I most likely won't finish it. But it may come up once in a while. I also probably won't ever give anything below this because I don't like giving out bad reviews, and if there ever was a score lower than this, I would probably trash the book in the review, and I just don't want to do this.

So there you have it. I'm sorry about the long post, and if you are still reading this, I thank you greatly.

Winter Longing was a real and emotional read. I really enjoyed it; I thought it was beautiful and mesmerizing.


In the beginning, Winter's best friend and new found love dies in a tragic accident. You never actually meet Spencer while he is alive. You get a glimpse of their relationship from when they were kids at the beginning of each chapter. I like this because A) It didn't take time away from the story and B) it added to the emotion.

I loved Winter, and really felt for what she was going through. She was such a sweet girl, adn you can't help but root for her and question why she deserves to go through this.

Jesse was so sweet, too. All along he was helping Winter, slowly but surely, get through what she was going through.

Winter Longing was a really sweet and amazing read. The writing was really beautiful, and it felt like I was going through all of this right along with Winter. It's one of those stories that you just can't get over. It scars you in the best, most beautiful way.

There’s a lot Zoey would like to forget. Like how her father has knocked up his twenty-four-year old girlfriend. Like Zoey’s fear that the whole town will find out about her mom’s nervous breakdown. Like darkly handsome bad boy Doug taunting her at school. With her life about to become a complete mess, Zoey fights back the only way she knows how, using her famous attention to detail to make sure she’s the perfect daughter, the perfect student, and the perfect girlfriend to ultra-popular football player Brandon.



But then Zoey is in a car crash, and the next day there’s one thing she can’t remember at all—the entire night before. Did she go parking with Brandon, like she planned? And if so, why does it seem like Brandon is avoiding her? And why is Doug—of all people—suddenly acting as if something significant happened between the two of them? Zoey dimly remembers Doug pulling her from the wreck, but he keeps referring to what happened that night as if it was more, and it terrifies Zoey to admit how much is a blank to her. Controlled, meticulous Zoey is quickly losing her grip on the all-important details of her life—a life that seems strangely empty of Brandon, and strangely full of Doug.

The first time that I found out Jennifer Echols was coming out with a new book this summer, I couldn't surpress my squeel of glee. All I can say is that I was not dissappointed with this one.


Forget You was truly beautiful. From the first page, I read it straight through, and couldn't put it down.

I loved the characters in this. Zoey comes from a not-so-perfect family. When her mom tries to commit suicide, she is forced to live with her dad who knocked up a 24 year old. Through the book you can really see how much Zoey is hurting, and yet how strong she is.

As for Doug, all I can say is LOVE HIM!!! He comes from a not-so-perfect background of his own and the tension he shares with Zoey was passionate, intense, consuming and beautiful all at once. You can really feel something between them from the first time they are together, and it only gets stronger.

Forget You was all around amazing. I couldn't get through it fast enough, and when I did finish, I was wishing I din't because I wanted more so bad. It's one of those books that everyone should read.
